About Us.....


Our company directs a group of experienced and loyal subcontractors to produce a home of the highest QUALITY. We can provide design and decorator services. As a group we are dedicated to developing satisfied customers, as evidenced by six couples that we have built two homes for in the past 32 years.

We believe that a successful relationship between HOME OWNER and CONTRACTOR begins with a clear understanding of the contract documents; drawings and specifications. All of our work is accomplished with a LUMP SUM contract with designated allowance amounts in the contract.  A deposit is not required. Our proposal includes a duration of construction time, a move-in date is determined 90 days prior to completion. Work volume annually is 3-5 homes. 


The Arnold Corporation represents seventy years of construction experience. We provide administrative talents to manage the building process to a timely and successful conclusion. Meetings with vendors to select Allowance items are timed to meet the Customers schedule. On-site meetings to coordinate material deliveries, subs and compliance to contract documents are daily. Progress photos are transmitted to Home Owners to keep them updated. It is our mission to build the Home that reflects the tastes and desires of the HOME OWNER.

The Arnold Corporation, Corey, Gloria, and Dave Arnold, built our home in Spinnaker Cove which we occupied in May 2008. The house was finished a full month before originally promised with only a few minor problems during construction. (It wouldn't be any fun if it went totally smooth.) The Arnolds were very cooperative and extra fast in response to these small problems, our numerous questions and the three changes we made to the design. We have had no problems since we moved in two years ago. (We know, its hard to believe.) We still get together with the Arnolds quite often socially and consider them good friends which is the best measure of how satisfied we are. We have repeatedly recommended the Arnolds to others who were looking for a great contractor to build their home or to make large changes to their existing home.

We interviewed several contractors over the years before we built and always came back to The Arnold Company. It was the best decision we could have made! Dave made the whole home-building process from design to finishing painless. His crews were top notch, the quality was excellent, and even my husband (who is the PICKIEST perfectionist !) pronounced the job first rate. Dave helped us stay well within our budget without sacrificing quality, and we could not be more pleased with our new home...it is better than we could have imagined! We are so glad that we went with a solid, established and educated builder; the custom experience is well worth the peace of mind and quality outcome! Some others who built at the same time as us chose contractors who gave them a lower price, but they ended up having allowances that weren't sufficient and had to spend more unexpectedly anyway...or chose contractors who are no longer in business because they were unable to sustain their businesses with such low margins. We would definitely choose the Arnold Company again! (our home is on the leisure trail, completed spring 2009)

We were fortunate that when we moved to Keowee key we had the Arnold Company build our new home.

 

We selected The Arnold Company from a “short list” of five builders. The reason’s that we chose Dave. Gloria and Corey as our builders were as follows:

 

·        The allowances for lighting, kitchen cabinets, ETC were reasonable

·        The reputation as a quality builder that was fair with customers

·        Trust is a key factor—hard to earn easy to loose

·        Confidence in builders decisions, as we would start to build before moving to Keowee Key

 

 

Our home was started in November and completed in June of the following year—on schedule. In the interim period we rented a condominium through June. However, the owner called in May informing us that they had sold there home and would move into the Condo on June 6th. When I called Dave Arnold to explain our dilemma, Dave’s response was immediate, “we will have your home done and ready to move in to by June 6th”.

 

Dave Arnold is a very good builder, some one that you can trust with the partnership to build your home!! This past year The Arnold Company was voted the “Best Builder in Oconee County”. Dave Arnold is even a better person, over the years we have worked together on other projects such as serving on the Board at Tamassee DAR School. I keep coming back to that KEY WORD---TRUST, you can Trust Dave Arnold. Today 10 years later we are the best friends, I’m proud to call Dave a friend.

 

If I were to build another home, I would simply call Dave knowing that I would be treated fairly and that the house would be well built at a fair price. In addition, it would be fun to work with the Arnold’s again.
